Erica Miller, DVM
Veterinarian/Owner
Dr. Erica Miller was born and raised in Hutchinson, where her parents Paul and Anita Biel still live, and graduated from Trinity Catholic High School. Erica would go on to play college basketball at Missouri State before transferring to Fort Hays State University, where she played basketball three years and earned her Bachelors of Science and pre vet-med Degree. Dr. Miller would then attend Kansas State University to continue her studies before she was accepted into Veterinary school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts/Nevis in the Caribbean. After two and a half strenuous years of vet school at Ross University, Dr. Miller would finish her degree with a clinical year at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. After starting her professional career at Blackwell Animal Hospital and Hartford Animal Clinic in Oklahoma, Dr. Miller accepted a position at Apple Lane Animal Hospital to work alongside Dr. Randall Smith in 2017. In the summer of 2021, Dr Miller became the owner of Apple Lane Animal Hospital. Dr. Miller and her husband Scott have a 7 year old daughter Leigha, and a 5 year old son MacKoy. They currently have 2 dogs (Maximus and Chewy) and 2 cats (Pom Pom and Honey). In her free time, Dr. Miller loves spending time with her family, sewing and making quilts, gardening, and watching and playing sports. Dr. Miller is happy to be back home and loves all the relationships she has built with her clients and their furry friends.
Logan Druecker, DMV
Dr. Logan Druecker grew up in Inman, Kansas, where his parents still reside, along with his older sister and her two children. His older brother and sister-in-law live in Manhattan, Kansas, which also became an important part of Dr. Druecker’s own journey. After graduating from high school, he attended Kansas State University, earning his Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and Industry in December of 2020. He chose to remain in Manhattan to pursue his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the Kansas State College of Veterinary Medicine, which he completed in May of 2025.
Dr. Druecker has been with Apple Lane Animal Hospital since the summer of 2025, though the clinic has been a part of his life for much longer, as it was where his family pets were cared for while he was growing up. He is excited to now be part of the team and is especially grateful for the kindness and support of his coworkers.
While Dr. Druecker does not currently have pets of his own, he hopes to adopt a Golden Retriever in the future. Outside of veterinary medicine, he enjoys reading fantasy and adventure novels, watching football, and cheering for his favorite teams—the Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs, and K-State Wildcats.
Dr. Druecker is enthusiastic about beginning his career at Apple Lane Animal Hospital and looks forward to building lasting relationships with clients and their beloved pets.
