Erica Miller, DVM

Veterinarian/Owner

Dr. Erica Miller was born and raised in Hutchinson, where her parents Paul and Anita Biel still live, and graduated from Trinity Catholic High School. Erica would go on to play college basketball at Missouri State before transferring to Fort Hays State University, where she played basketball three years and earned her Bachelors of Science and pre vet-med Degree. Dr. Miller would then attend Kansas State University to continue her studies before she was accepted into Veterinary school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts/Nevis in the Caribbean. After two and a half strenuous years of vet school at Ross University, Dr. Miller would finish her degree with a clinical year at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. After starting her professional career at Blackwell Animal Hospital and Hartford Animal Clinic in Oklahoma, Dr. Miller accepted a position at Apple Lane Animal Hospital to work alongside Dr. Randall Smith in 2017. In the summer of 2021, Dr Miller became the owner of Apple Lane Animal Hospital. Dr. Miller and her husband Scott have a 7 year old daughter Leigha, and a 5 year old son MacKoy. They currently have 2 dogs (Maximus and Chewy) and 2 cats (Pom Pom and Honey). In her free time, Dr. Miller loves spending time with her family, sewing and making quilts, gardening, and watching and playing sports. Dr. Miller is happy to be back home and loves all the relationships she has built with her clients and their furry friends.

Scott Miller

Practice Manager

Scott graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in electronic media and worked in the radio/tv industry for 19 years before starting a new journey in January as the full-time practice manager at Apple Lane. Scott and his wife Erica have a 7 year old daughter Leigha, and a 5 year old son MacKoy. They currently have 2 dogs (Maximus and Chewy) and 2 cats (Pom Pom and Honey). Scott is enjoying his new career path and learning as much as he can about the veterinary field. Outside of work, Scott enjoys playing basketball and golf and loves watching sports. His favorite days are spent with his family, either playing games, coaching his kids in various sports, or traveling to K-State football games.

Molly Williams

Lead Receptionist

Molly was born and raised in the Hutchinson area and started her career in the veterinary field in August of 1997 at Apple Lane Animal Hospital. She has been the lead receptionist and greeted clients of Apple Lane alongside Dr. Schrater, Dr. Smith and Dr. Miller. Molly is married to her husband Mike, and they have two children, Lane and Lexi. Molly has three dogs, a Blue Heeler named Rooster, Opal and Otis, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Outside of the clinic, Molly enjoys listening to country music and traveling the country while attending her daughter’s softball games.

Becky Stubby, RVT

Lead Veterinary Technician

Becky is a Haven High grad before attending Hutchinson Community College, earning a secretarial degree. She then moved on to Colby Community College and earned an Associates of Veterinary Technology degree. Becky started working with the original owner, Dr. Schrater in 1977 while the clinic was in South Hutchinson before moving to Apple Lane. Becky is married to Steve and has two daughters Kayla and Kodie. Becky also has three grand dogs in Kalie, Jordie & Buzz. Her favorite thing about working in the veterinary field is that every day brings a different challenge, and she loves working with animals and getting to know the clients. In her free time, she likes to play golf and go to estate sales and of course spending time with family, friends and her new Grandson. Becky has worked with three different owners, and it is with excitement and sadness that she will be retiring in June. Becky will miss everything and everyone that has been a big part of her career. But she looks forward to her next journey of taking care of her Grandson.

Tina Stanford, RVT

Registered Veterinary Technician

Tina has worked full time, as a registered vet tech, with Apple Lane for 3 years. She is a graduate of Colby Community College with an associate’s degree in veterinary technology. Tina has two nephews and one niece. She also has plenty of pets to take care of. Four dogs (Pearl, Gibbs, Piper, & Boss). Seven Cats (QD, Bear, Choppie, BB, Chevy, Pickle, & George). Three Cows (Rosie, Rosebud, & Bessie). 30 Chickens. Her favorite thing about working at Apple Lane is learning new ways to help our patients. Outside of work, she loves to bowl in her bowling league, read, and raise bucket calves, chickens and shelties.

Alison Pierce, RVT

Registered Veterinary Technician

Ali is a Hutchinson High grad before attending Hutchinson Community College where she earned her Associates of Science degree. She then attended Colby Community College getting an Associates of Veterinary Technology degree. Ali started working at Apple Lane in June of 2018, while attending school. Ali is the middle child of 7 brothers and sisters (Ashley 37, Jake 31, twins Mason and Madi 23, and youngest siblings Olivia 18, Wilson 14). She has five dogs, “some say I’m crazy, but I don’t know what I would do without them.” (Ivy 9 yr old Siberian Husky, Four English Bulldogs Luna, Petunia, and puppies Sage and Poppy). Ali loves being able to make a difference working in the vet med field, whether it’s as simple as client education or helping with tougher cases. When she is not working, you can find her playing some type of sport including volleyball, softball, kickball or pickleball. She also enjoys hanging out with friends and family and enjoying nature. Ali’s dream is to one day live on a farm and raise cows and chickens and watch the sunrise/sunsets on a porch swing, until she’s old and grey.

Aisyn Thompson

Veterinary Assistant

Aisyn is a graduate of Hutchinson high school with high honors and has an assistant veterinary certification with hopes to start veterinary school soon. She has been with Apple Lane for two years while in school. She has been coming to Apple Lane her whole life though, as her parents are long time clients. Aisyn has three dogs (Mercy, Scout, & Rue) and four cats (Cookie, Minka, Ghost, & Friday). Aisyn enjoys working at Apple Lane because everyday brings new learning experiences. Outside of work, she enjoys compound archery, video games and hanging out with her friends.

Aley Brown

Veterinary Assistant

Aley high school graduate of McPherson High and is currently working on a Veterinary Technician certificate at HCC and Wichita State Tech. Aley has been working at Apple Lane for six months now. Aley is the oldest of 6 siblings (4 sisters and 2 brothers). Aley also has two cats (Bobo James & Shadow Jane) and one dog (Sadie Sue). She loves the connection she has developed with her coworkers. “I enjoy how we all treat each other like one big family”. Outside of work, Aley loves to travel. She has been to 19 states so far and her goal is to visit all 50. She also enjoys walking nature trails, dog sitting, and line dancing.
