Erica Miller, DVM
Dr. Erica Miller may be the newest member of Apple Lane Animal Hospital, but she’s definitely not new to the Hutchinson community. Erica (formerly Erica Biel) was born and raised in Hutchinson, where her parents Paul and Anita Biel still live, and graduated from Trinity Catholic High School. Erica would go on to play college basketball at Missouri State before transferring to Fort Hays State University, where she played basketball three years and earned her Bachelor’s of Science and pre vet-med Degree. Dr. Miller would then attend Kansas State University to continue her studies before she was accepted into Veterinary school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts/Nevis in the Caribbean.

After two and a half strenuous years of vet school at Ross University, Dr. Miller would finish her degree with a clinical year at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. After earning her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Miller accepted a position at Blackwell Animal Hospital and Hartford Animal Clinic working on both small and large animals for two and a half years.

Dr. Miller moves back to Hutchinson with her husband of 5 years Scott Miller and their 18 month old daughter Leigha. In her free time, Dr. Miller loves spending time with her family including her three dogs Skylar, Kylie and Maximus. She loves to take her daughter on walks, sewing and making quilts, gardening, and watching and playing sports. Dr. Miller is happy to be back home and see all the old friendly faces of the community.
